I'm old enough to remember the old gameshow "Truth or Consequences," on which contestants had to guess whether something was true or false. If they guessed wrong, and believed an untruth, they had to suffer the consequences. Well, all America is playing "Truth or Consequences" today, but, unfortunately, it's no longer a game, but deadly serious. We're being told one contradictory "truth" after another by Democrats. Still, much to my surprise, many Americans believe what Democrats tell us, despite their self-contradictions and the dire consequences our country is suffering from Democrats' obvious lies.

Democrats maintain their truthfulness even in the midst of their self-contradictions. After all, they are relativists, who believe there is no absolute or objective truth, only ever-changing and subjective truth. Therefore, no matter how many different things they tell you, it’s all the truth, because truth is whatever they say, even when the truth they’re presently speaking is totally different from the truth they previously spoke. Here’s some good examples of Democrats’ ever-changing “truths.”

First, Democrats told us that David Weiss didn’t need the powers of a special counsel in his investigation of Hunter Biden, because he had been given by the Biden Justice Department all the power he needed, not only to investigate the president’s son, but also to charge and prosecute him anywhere he needed to. This “truth” told us by Democrats was even testified to by David Weiss himself. However, after the unprecedented sweetheart plea deal, negotiated between Weiss and Hunter’s lawyers, fell apart in court, and the walls began falling down around Hunter, and the whole Biden Crime Family, Democrat Attorney General Merrick Garland changed his tune, claiming that Weiss had requested and received what he and Weiss had previously denied Wise needed, special counsel powers in his investigation of Hunter Biden. Of course, this changing story has nothing to do with stonewalling congressional Republicans in their ongoing investigation of the possibility, not to mention growing probability, that our Commander in Chief has been compromised by foreign powers, even adversarial ones, over the Biden family’s receipt of millions of dollars in shady foreign business dealings. Instead, we’re assured by Democrats that it’s all the “truth,” no matter how many different ways they’ve now told it or will end up telling it.

Second, Democrat New York Congressman Daniel Goldman has assured us that the “true" reason Vice President Joe Biden met with Yelena Nikolayevna Baturina, the wealthiest woman in Russia and the only wealthy Russian oligarch who was not sanctioned by the Obama Administration, had nothing to do with her paying of 3.5 million dollars to Biden-tied firms, but was only to discuss the weather and to exchange niceties. Furthermore, Goldman has assured us that the “truth” about Hunter’s sweetheart plea deal, which provided him unprecedented and unheard of immunity from prosecution for future crimes uncovered in Weiss’ investigation of him, was needed to prevent poor old Hunter from being victimized by a weaponized justice department, which Goldman and other Democrats defend today as un-weaponizable, during the ominous specter of Donald Trump’s reelection to the White House in 2024. I might add that this argument of Goldman's for Hunter's immunity implies that Weiss' investigation, which has already taken five years, will continue to drag on, without charges or completion, until after the next presidential election. Um, does Goldman know something we don't know and are not being told?

Third and finally, we’re assured that our present president is America’s foremost truth-telling town crier, despite the fact that he has told clear and countless falsehoods, like the following: (1) "I have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything having to do with their business, period” (2) "My son has not made money in terms of this thing about — what are you talking about — China. I have not had it” (3) “First of all, my son's done nothing wrong. I trust him. I have faith in him. And it impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him,” and (4) “Look, there are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what he’s accusing me of is a Russian plan. They have said that this has all the characteristics — four, five former heads of the CIA, both parties, say what he’s saying is a bunch of garbage.”

Democrats demand that you don’t listen to your own ears, believe your own eyes, or think for yourself. Instead, you just believe that the truth is whatever they tell you, no matter how many different ways they're telling it. If you’re dumb enough to believe them, then, you about to suffer the consequences, in this deadly game Democrats are playing for keeps.
