It’s hard to function in a world based on fabrications rather than facts. Yet, just about everywhere you turn today people are living on lies and oblivious to the truth. It makes no difference what reality is, people prefer living in an illusionary world of their own making. It is, as the Bible predicts, a world being swept away in its great delusions to its own destruction, because it despises the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12).

The Palestinians’ claim of Jewish occupation of their former state is predicated upon nothing but pure fabrication. Although falsehoods are not foreign to our nation’s foreign policy, there has never been a greater one than the so-called Jewish occupation of Palestine.

In 1947, the United Nations, on the heels of the Holocaust, adopted a resolution known as the Partition Plan. It was meant to divide Palestine, which Woodrow Wilson’s ill-fated League of Nations put under British administration in 1922, into three parts—the state of Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. Immediately after Israel declared its independence, on May 14, 1948, it was attacked by a coalition of Arab states, determined to destroy the new Jewish state.

Prior to the attack, Arab leaders demanded that all Palestinians leave the area at once, to avoid being caught in the coming crossfire. At the same time, the Haganah, the Jewish parliamentary organization at the time, sought to persuade the Palestinians to remain in their homes and to continue to conduct their businesses, promising that Israel would protect them from harm. However, when the Arab leaders warned the Palestinians that their acceptance of Jewish protection would brand them as renegades and traitors, 750,000 Palestinians left their homes and businesses to make way for the Arab coalition’s invading forces. Thus, contrary to popular opinion, the Palestinians were not dispelled by Israel, but coerced to abandon their homes and businesses by Arab leaders prior to the beginning of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.

Surprisingly, the fledgling nation of Israel dispelled the invading Arab armies, not the Palestinians, and emerged victorious over their anti-Semitic Arab adversaries. Afterward, Egypt took control of Gaza, Jordan of the West Bank, and Syria of the Golan Heights, a hilly area to the west of the Jordan River. Once again, contrary to popular opinion, none of these present-day disputed areas were under Palestinian control.

In 1967, Israel was once again attacked by a coalition of Arab states, whose stated military objective was to “drive the Jews into the sea.” However, Israel once again shocked the world, by not only defeating and dispelling its invaders, but by doing so in a mere six days. Following its surprising victory in the “Six Days War,” Israel, out of necessity, annexed Gaza, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights, which it had captured during the war. These areas were retained by Israel as a buffer zone for its future defense against surrounding enemies sworn to its destruction. Again, popular opinion is found to be fraudulent. The so-called Palestinian diaspora and Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories is a pure fabrication. Yet, this lie has been swallowed by today’s truth-spurning-world hook, line and sinker.
