To prove they were not unpatriotic, the German people embraced Nazism. They did so, at least in their minds, for the greater good of Germany. A fact of history that is often forgotten is that Adolf Hitler, thanks to pervasive and prevailing propaganda, rose to power in Germany’s embrace.

Although postwar Germans pleaded innocent to World War II atrocities on the grounds of ignorance, they had no such grounds for acquittal, since the Nazis clearly telegraphed in advance their sinister intentions. The German people simply chose to overlook the tenets of Nazism; and in doing so were able to convince themselves, in spite of the Nazis’ publicly stated purposes, that their “Heil Hitlers” would translate into a greater Germany.

Today, to prove we’re not racists, the American people are embracing Black Lives Matter. Americans are doing so, at least in their own minds, for the greater good of America. Despite the publicly stated intentions of Black Lives Matter leaders and the sinister tenets of the Black Lives Matter Movement, the American people are being persuaded by pervasive and prevailing propaganda that their hailing of the Black Lives Matter Movement will translate into improved race relations in America.

The Greater New York Chair of Black Lives Matter recently stated on national television, “If this country doesn't give us what we want, then we will burn down this system.” The co-founder of Black Lives Matter in Canada recently posted on Facebook that white people are “subhuman” and “genetic defects.” Of course, these statements about white people are eerily similar to those Adolf Hitler made about Jewish people. And the co-founder of Black Lives Matter in America has publicly admitted, “We are trained Marxists.”

One of the sinister tenets of Black Lives Matter is: “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.” Notice, Black Lives Matter clearly states its intention to “disrupt the…nuclear family structure”; that is, traditional families consisting of a father, a mother, and their children. Although Black Lives Matter mistakenly attributes the nuclear or traditional family structure to Western Civilization, it’s actually prescribed by Scripture. Therefore, one of Black Lives Matter’s core tenets is its opposition to the biblical family, which is the God-ordained cornerstone of all orderly society.

A second sinister tenet of Black Lives Matter is: “We foster a queer-affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking.” In other words, Black Lives Matter is not just “queer-affirming,” but out to free themselves and others of “heteronormative thinking”; that is, of what the Bible clearly teaches about marriage and the sin of homosexuality.

What does it tell us about Black Lives Matter when it blatantly states its opposition to sound doctrine and biblical standards? What does it tell us about Black Lives Matter when its leaders proudly profess to be followers of Karl Marx, who once said, “Religion is the opium of the people”? One thing for sure, it tells us that any Christian who affirms Black Lives Matter is affirming that which is antagonist to his or her Christian Faith.

Despite the Nazis’ avowed antagonism toward Christianity; such as, Joseph Goebbels’ stated intention to make “National Socialism the religion of all Germans” and Adolf Hitler’s public profession that Germany’s Third Reich was to be served as the “most precious thing on earth,” since, as Hitler put it, “one god must dominate another,” the German people, and in particularly German Christians, still embraced Nazism in order to prove they were not unpatriotic. Afterward, they pleaded innocent of complicity in Nazi atrocities on the basis of their ignorance of Nazi intentions, though the Nazis indubitably declared them from their movement’s inception.

It was George Santayana who warned us that “'those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” It looks like we’re repeating it, having failed to learn from it, in America today. Today’s Americans, and particularly America’s Christians, are, in an attempt to prove they’re not racists, embracing Black Lives Matter, in spite of its avowed antagonism toward the Christian Faith. We, like the Germans, may someday attempt to plead innocent of complicity in the atrocities of Black Lives Matter on the basis of our ignorance of the Movement’s true intentions. However, our embrace of Black Lives Matter will prove, as the Germans’ embrace of Nazism did, inexcusable, since Black Lives Matters’ true intentions have been indubitably declared from the movement’s inception.
