Here's the deal; Donald Trump needs to take off his Monty Hall "Let's Make A Deal" hat and put on his General Patton helmet. There is no negotiating nor possible dealmaking with the duplicitous and diabolical mad mullahs of Iran. They, like all evil in the world today, cannot be appeased, but must be annihilated. If we fail to war against them, as well as all other evil on this earth, evil, like Iran's mad mullahs and their terrorist proxies, not to mention all of their patrons, like Russia, China, North Korea, and the United Nations, will win the world. Instead of preserving Iran's oil fields and cruel civilian leadership, Trump needs to permit Israel to put both in its crosshairs. By doing so, Iran will be financially decimated and finally decapitated.

During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln, frustrated with the inaction of his General, George B. McClellan, sent a letter asking, "If General McClellan does not want to use the army, I would like to borrow it for a time." Soon thereafter, McClellan was replaced with General Ambrose Burnside, because of Lincoln's belief that McClellan lacked the necessary aggression needed to win the war. Having learned his lesson with McClellan, Lincoln proceeded to give General Ulysses S. Grant command over the whole Union Army and to appoint William Tecumseh Sherman as Lieutenant General. Of course, it was Sherman's violent "March to the Sea" that burned down much of the South and broke the back of the Confederacy, which explains why Sherman famously said, "War is hell!"  

As Jesus taught, war is inevitable in this fallen world (Matthew 24:6). According to Niccolo Machiavelli, war cannot be avoided, only postponed to the advantage of your enemies. You ask, "Why is war inevitable in this fallen world?" The simple answer to your question is found in the reality of evil within this fallen world. It was the reality of evil that led Edmund Burke to famously proclaim, “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” Herschel Hobbs, in his book on Southern Baptist confession of faith, The Baptist Faith And Message, wrote that our refusal to go to war against evil “would turn the world into a jungle ruled by criminals and tyrants, a world in which all moral and spiritual values would disappear from the social order.” In other words, Hobbs, like Burke, taught the necessity of the world warring against evil, lest evil win the world!

One explanation for the enveloping of the earth today with manifold evils is our naive attempt to fight it with kid gloves rather than brass knuckles. We keep trying to appease it and make deals with it, when neither can possibly be done. The only possible solution to it is the dissolution of it. We will either do away with it or it will do away with us. It's not a matter of dealmaking, but a fight to the death, which is why our president needs to stop trying to make a deal and get real with the evil mad mullahs of Iran!
