Introduction: The Song of Solomon is a Biblical love story. It is probably written about King Solomon and his beloved Abishag, but best understood as an allegory of Christ and His beloved, the church. 

Song of Solomon 4:16 — As the fragrance of the spice tree lies latent until the wind blows filling the earth with the spice’s fragrance, so also the fruit of the Spirit lies latent until the wind of the Spirit blows filling the earth with the saint’s sweet smelling savor.

Song of Solomon 5:16 — In the incredible miracle of the Incarnation, He who is altogether lovely appeared without comeliness. (Isaiah 53:2)
