ECCLESIASTES
Tweeting Through Ecclesiastes

Introduction: The book of Ecclesiastes tells us of the wise King Solomon's search for the true meaning of life. He wisely concludes, that the object of life is God and what life is all about is obedience to Him.

Ecclesiastes 1:18  Whereas ignorance is bliss, with much wisdom comes much grief and with increased knowledge comes increased sorrow.

To see this fallen world through God's eyes is to see it through tears rather than tinsel.

Ecclesiastes 2:1  To live your life for pleasure and mirth is to live your life in the pursuit of meaninglessness.

Many a man has squandered his life in search of sensual pleasure and personal satisfaction.

Ecclesiastes 8:11  When your government fails to control crime, your country becomes ungovernable and crime becomes uncontrollable, for swift justice is the only safeguard against spreading injustices.

Crime will slit the wrists of any society that leniently slaps the wrists of all its criminals.

Ecclesiastes 10:2 — Ever wonder why conservative Christians are called the “Religious Right” and liberal Democrats are called the “Radical Left”? Well, here's your Scriptural explanation: "A wise man’s heart goes to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left."

Ecclesiastes 10:12 — Whereas the words of the wise are of great worth, a fool is always strung up by his own speech.

Ecclesiastes 11:3 Storm clouds are dark chariots bringing divine blessings.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-8 — God alone is the only worthwhile pursuit in this fallen world of meaningless things. Therefore, we should live our lives from our youth to the grave in pursuit of God, least we live and die for meaningless things.
